Do you accept insurance?Currently, I am in network with BCBS of Minnesota only. I also accept private pay clients. I can also provide you with "super bills" to submit to your insurance plan for reimbursement based on your out-of-network benefits. When clients choose to pay privately for therapy, it offers benefits to both clients and providers. Clients enjoy a level of confidentiality that is just not possible when you have an insurance company fund your psychotherapy. Insurance routinely rejects certain diagnoses for coverage, and often limits the number of sessions that clients can partake in per year. It is also limiting to providers in that insurance companies do not reimburse for certain diagnoses, and providers must be paid only what insurance thinks our time is worth. We must also submit to audits whenever insurance companies impose them. Therapy without the confines or dictates of insurance companies, who do not have your (or your child's) best interests at heart, is the best option.

What is the Therapy First approach? The Therapy First approach holds that psychotherapy should be the first-line treatment for gender dysphoria. To read more about this sensible, "Do No Harm" approach, you can visit their website at: www.therapyfirst.org. The Therapy First approach is not "conversion therapy".
